ORTOFON MC VIVO BLUE
Cápsula MCPVP: 332 €.STOCK For the money, the Vivo Blue is hard to beat. It's got all the speed and punch of a good MC, without the zingy "fake detail" of an exaggerated top-end. Big improvement over the Salsa I had a while back. STOCK INMEDIATO

Nothing demonstrates more convincingly Ortofon´s commitment to be the world´s last cartridge manufacturer than the ongoing development of new state-of-the-art models, and Ortofon will continue to refine upon the level of sound quality attainable from analogue recordings. Since 1948 Ortofon has introduced about 100 different moving coil models, and more are to follow. Contrary to other types of phono catridges, the moving coil principle is not suited for mass production. Each of the four coils contains between 11 an 24 turns of wire, depending on model, and has to be wound by hand under a microscope. The wire itself is much thinner than a human hair. The high degree of craftsmanship involved is one of the "secrets" behind Ortofon's reputation.
The Vivo Blue is a standard, low-output general purpose Moving Coil cartridge. Special 7-nines (99.9999% pure) copper wire manufactured in Japan is used in the coils. Low internal impedance makes the cartridge less sensitive to load and therefore ensures compatibility with the widest range of preamps and transformers. A special newly developed polycarbonate based resin, Lexan DMX, in Piano Black is used for manufacturing of the body. This revolutionary material improves rigidity and damping properties and also has a very durable scratch resistant surface. Rigidity is an important performance character as the plastic-body serves as basis for the generator.
